Same Ol', Same Ol'...Oh and Slimbridge

Halfway through June and this is the first post of the month tsk shameful (not really). All three of us have most likely been busy and finding it hard to create a blog post worthy of posting. So just to liven things up around here I decided to make new 'un.

In all fairness, I haven't really been out much despite finishing my studies for the year and when I do want to go for a wander somewhere the rain starts to fall and I gotta say it has the most fantastic timing when to rain. Anyway a few weeks back I decided to treat myself to a little birthday present, I went to Slimbridge WWT (I think) and despite it being a working weekday the place was still pretty full, never the less I continued on to have a gander around. I enjoyed it, it was interesting and fun to see many birds in one place. My bird finding skills are pretty sucky in the field and if I were the least bit interested in twitching i'm pretty sure I would have ticked them off my 'list'.

Apart from that it has been a dissapointing year for nesters. I did have one family of blue tits nesting but the house sparrows chased them away and most likely made the chicks starve, I am not too sure but I will be sure in september if a trip to the box is worth my while. Also have had some garden shots again but I swear I will be out in the field soon. Until next time....err this would be where my catchphrase would be.
