Hows it going??!!

Hello all Birdgarden readers,

Firstly, my apologies for such a long absence! I have been very busy working and digiscoping. There never seems to be enough time to do much of both!!

Recently I have been digiscoping with some equipment that I have been loaned by Opticron.

A wonderful HR80 GA ED, eyepiece and both compact and DSLR adaptors were sent to me to
try out and review.

The Wren was taken using the DSLR set up. The 40215 adaptor connects a DSLR directly to the scope.

The DSLR set up was very easy to use & I found it to produce some very pleasing images.

The weather wasn't so kind during my month of testing the DSLR set up, but it didnt perform that badly in poor light, which is very handy for digiscoping!

This resting Avocet was taken in better conditions using the compact camera set up. THe "Push Fit" 41111 adaptor fits over the 27x HDF-T eyepiece. My camera connected to the adaptor via the 52mm filter thread adaptor ring. This set up works so well in good conditions, and I must say it really made me enjoy digiscoping with a compact camera again!!

I'm sure the Birdgarden would agree with me on that!!

So, all in all Opticron make some very good digiscoping equipment, and it is at a price that most can afford. Quality has not been sacrificed in anyway to save money. It really is good equipment at a good price.

Try Opticron out, if you get the chance, you wont regret it!!

My full review can be found HERE

Until next time....

Danny
