Just a Little Windy

The past two days here in sunny South Wales haven't been our best. We got winds as fast as (cannot be bothered looking up) hitting us and hitting us hard. So I have had no choice but to dig into my archive to find something all the way from last week.

Last week I headed to a place close by. What's that? Forest Farm I hear you say? Well you would be wrong but instead I headed to Roath Park. Roath Park isn't my funnest place to go because of how many people who seem to head there as soon as the sun breaks through the cloud. Some days I get lucky, some days I manage to get some decent shots to show off at the birdforum (showing off is most likely an overstatement) This day I was not too sure what to file it under, it was bloody freezing and I couldn't get any decent photos with the constant interruption of pushchairs rolling by.

On the other hand the I did find a new bird to add to my imaginary life list, why imaginary? because I am not going to waste my time listing the birds I have seen and seeing 'who has got the biggest list' on some site. Anyway it was still a joy for me to find a bird that I have never seen before to get the opportunity to take a cracking shot and to say "woah look what I took!". I did manage to get some pictures but not something I would call bloody fantastic and it didn't help either with some idiot just walking straight in the way and stand in the way so I got a lovely picture of his coat. If that isn't a result I don't know what is.

By the way the bird was a Little Grebe, but wait not just one but four of them.
