hello to you all, my name is barry woodhouse im a local birder and digiscoper in bury st edmunds suffolk england, i got to know geraint though danny porter also a digiscoper from lowestoft whom i friends with as well, he put me in touch with geraint when i broke my telescope he sold me his old one and it has done me proud i owe a lot to geraint and danny as they
helped me get started set up with my equipement etc so a big thank you guys i have learnt so much from danny as i knew nothing about cameras photography and digiscoping ect

i also have my own website http://www.mydigiscopingphotos.webs.com/ its about my digiscoping, it has a photo gallery, links,about me, field trip sightings blog, also a bird ringing blog as i ring with the bto ringing scheme at present hold a t permit but hoping to upgrade to a c permit very soon

i will do a weekly sightings blog of birds that i have seen in my local area for you all to see and can blog about my ringing
what birds we have caught ringed etc this wont be rugular as ringing depends on weather conditions but i will keep you all posted but also you can check my website to there are photos of birds ringed on the bird ringing blog
my local birding patch is cavenham heath, lackford lakes( which is my second home), and livermere lakes
so went out birding this weekend saw on saterday at lackford lakes 2 1st winter caspian gulls 22 goosanders

lackford lakes again today saw 1 1st winter caspian gull 21 goosander 1 pinkfooted goose and the bittern which has been showing on and off with great views very close as well i was so lucky to be sitting in a hide when the bitten flew right in front of the hide got great photos above the bittern
