Budget Macro

Macro is a fine part of photography, it lets us see more than the naked eye can. In wildlife photography it lets us enter a world minuscule from our own. Now then enough of the Attenborough inspired introduction, let us get down to macro photography on the cheap!

If you are in the dilemma of being skint then this choice is for you, its easy and can be done by anyone at any level.

All you need is:

A digital compact camera
A macro lens
a Jackar Universal adapter

Camera

The camera you choose is all down to you and your personal preference, for this I am going to use a Panasonic LS75 which is a cheap entry level camera and a Nikon P5100 which is a more advance level camera to prove you can get good results with both.

Macro Lens

Now I am assuming when you first heard macro lens you thought of the kind that attach to a DSLR, but remember this is all about doing it on a budget and there will be no talk about DSLRs here...mostly because I am complelty alien to them. This lens made by Jackar can be found here and attaches directly onto the next part I am going to mention.

Jackar Universal Adapter

Ahh this adapter is pretty much one of the most handy things I have bought, Its used to attach my camera to my scope and also used to take some pretty decent macro shots. This handy little thing can fit on almost every digital camera...common sense of couse needs to applied. It can be adusted in anyway you like for optimal performance

Does it work?

It works pretty well, without costing a bomb you get more than you paid for and for use for any level of photographer I do not think you can go wrong with this. Here are some photos from two cameras using this setup, If you decide to go this route I will be happy to share your photos on here, with credit to you of course.
