Kingfisher!

It is not very often I stumble across a bird I haven't seen before let alone take a picture of but with the kingfisher I have to say it was merely down to sheer luck. A few days before the picture I decided to go to forest farm to get myself back into digiscoping, it's really the best place to start and as me being me I went straight for the hides, set up gear and waited. 30 minutes later and a dash of colour came past my view and landed on the branch in the middle of the lake I was just happy enough to see it and I carefully tried getting up to snap up a shot but it flew off, teasing me by just flying around the lake landing on the reads only for a few seconds so I decided just to watch it because its not often I see a colourful British bird.

on that Friday of the same week College was very short so I decided to use this time wisely and head back down to Forest Farm and again I went straight to the hide. Unfortunately nothing was there not a peep and only one Moorhen travelling between the reeds. After an hour I decided to travel to the other hide (I don't go there often....its not the nicest) through the gate and as I came in the Kingfisher was there, perched on the branch right in front of me. I slowly got out my setup and snapped up four pictures before it again went to tease me by flying around landing on the reeds until it finally flew off. The pictures didn't turn out that bad but not brilliant and it might be down to the camera hating low light, it has zero tolerance for it.
